AKG is a chemical that the body produces naturally but levels decline as we age. Directions Take 2-4 capsules daily with or after food. Ingredients Calcium Alpha Ketoglutarate 500mg (21% calcium) Aquamin TG (a highly bioavailable source of minerals rich in calcium) 150mg* Magnesium Stearate 10mg Vegan capsule shell size 00 *contains unmodified maize (corn) starch Suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Cautions An upper limit of 2000mg of calcium daily is considered to be generally safe. Excessive levels of calcium intake can lead to adverse health conditions. There is a small risk of interaction between calcium supplements and thiazide diuretics and calcium channel blockers. Calcium supplements may reduce the effectiveness of these medications, resulting in an increase in blood pressure. Calcium does not interact with other high blood pressure medication, such as ACE inhibitors, beta blockers or other diuretics. If unsure, check with your prescribing doctor or pharmacist before taking calcium. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet.
